Why I chose The University of Texas at Austin|
I attended The University of Texas at Austin for my undergraduate coursework, and I loved the positive vibe on campus. Professors were excited about research, students were passionate about organizations, and there was no limit to what you could do here. The College of Pharmacy exuded those same principles through its application and interview processes.

Why I love UT Pharmacy
We really are a pharmacy family, or phamily, if you will. Upperclassmen made me feel welcome as a first-year student pharmacist, and I miss my classmates every time we go on break. I have built relationships with professors, and every alumnus I have met has offered himself or herself as a resource to me.

Pharmobility
For my first APPE rotation this summer, I will travel to Lisbon, Portugal as part of the Pharmobility program. Learning how pharmacy functions in a foreign country will help me apply concepts from multiple classes, ranging from antimicrobics to pharmacoeconomics. I look forward to seeing the similarities and differences and also experiencing everything in a different language. I expect to struggle some with the language barrier, but this hurdle will help me understand the experience of patients whose first language is not English. With pharmacists on the frontline of healthcare, it is important to understand language and cultural barriers. I expect Pharmobility to help me better serve all my patients, regardless of their background.

Why I chose The University of Texas at Austin
The main experience that drew me to UT was working as a pharmacy technician with a recent UT pharmacy graduate.  I highly respected her professionalism, devotion to patient care, and medication knowledge.  Also, UT is one of the top schools in the nation with a lower tuition rate than other Texas schools.

Why I love UT Pharmacy
Faculty members at UT teach us how to become indispensable members of the healthcare team through building foundational knowledge, engaging critical thinking skills, and ingraining patient-centered care into the curriculum. Why I chose The University of Texas at Austin
I felt that UT Austin College of Pharmacy would challenge me, not only as a student pharmacist and future professional but also as a person. I have not been wrong. I would not be the same person I am today without the challenges I have faced throughout this program.

Why I love UT Pharmacy
Being an introvert, I have always found it hard to connect to a huge group of people. I feel a connection to the rest of my class that I thought I would never experience. I am lucky to have met some of the most amazing people here who make every day of studying, exams, meetings, and labs worth it. Without them, I would not enjoy pharmacy school as much as I do.

Honors Program
The Honors Program has been an invaluable experience for me. It has given me the opportunity to work very closely with an amazing professor, and it has allowed me the freedom to acquire the research experience that has the potential to make a real difference both in the world as well as my career path while allowing me to balance classes, studying and extracurricular activities.

Why I chose The University of Texas at Austin
After thinking for years that I would attend a different college of pharmacy, I chose to accept my offer from UT after having such a great interview experience here. The students and staff were incredibly welcoming, and I felt instantly at home. What I thought would be a stressful day was really a lot of fun, and I met great people who were passionate about pharmacy and UT. It didn’t hurt that UT was located in the great city of Austin and ranked among the top pharmacy schools nationally.

Why I love UT Pharmacy
Choosing to attend UT was one of the best decisions I have made. While pharmacy school is tough, everyone in the college is one big family and incredible supportive. The faculty and staff go above and beyond to make sure the learning environment is the best it can be.  The college values students’ feedback and makes changes based upon student responses. The rigorous curriculum, along with the many clinical opportunities we had during our first three years, prepared me for my fourth year of APPE rotations both academically and professionally.
