Professor of Health Outcomes Dr. Leticia Moczygemba was awarded a planning grant to test and validate wearable sleep tracking sensors to improve health outcomes for people experiencing homelessness (PEH).

An independent advisory committee to the FDA has determined that phenylephrine, a popular ingredient in many over-the-counter allergy and cold medicines, is ineffective in tablet form. A new publication finds evidence that the repurposed drug apremilast suppressed alcohol consumption in people who drink excessively. The research is coauthored by Research Assistant Professor Regina Mangieri, Ph.D. in the Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology and Heather Aziz, MS, RLATg who works in the Mangieri Lab.
