The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy placed in the top ten in the entire country in the percentage of match placements with 91%, compared to the national match placement average of 82%.

Pharmacy schools across the country completed their 2022 Phase I and Phase II residency matches for new or upcoming graduates of their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) programs. A paper from UT College of Pharmacy researchers was awarded the 2021 Outstanding Paper of the Year from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Ambulatory Care Practice Research Network. The paper investigates the availability of buprenorphine and naloxone in Texas to treat opioid use disorder.
