Texas Pharmacy Rises to #8 Nationally for Total Research Funding

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy moved up in several research funding categories, as reported in the newly-released rankings from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). The college rose to #8 nationally in total research funding during the 2019-2020 fiscal year, compared to #9 in 2018-2019.

Peppas to Receive Prestigious Oesper Award in Honor of Contributions to Chemistry

Nicholas A. Peppas, Sc.D. has been honored with the 2020 Oesper Award from the University of Cincinnati’s Chemistry Department and the Cincinnati Section of the American Chemical Society for his outstanding accomplishments in and contributions to science. The award recognizes his work in biomaterials, drug delivery, bionanotechnology, and nanomaterials.

“H-E-B has been an innovator in community pharmacy practice in Texas. The UT College of Pharmacy has a long history of collaboration with H-E-B, including training the next generation of pharmacists through internships, experiential rotations, and post-graduate residencies,” said Dean Samuel M.
