Behrens Inc. Centennial Professor Emeritus and former College of Pharmacy Dean Dr. M. Lynn Crismon was awarded the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) 2024 Paul R. Dawson Award for Excellence in Patient Care Research. The Dawson Awards are AACP's highest honors and recognize outstanding contributions made to pharmacy education, research, patient outcomes, community service and academic publishing.

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy received the 2023 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education. This is the second year Texas Pharmacy has been named as a Health Professions HEED Award recipient and is one of six pharmacy schools in the nation to receive the award.

The college rose to #8 nationally in total research funding during the 2019-2020 fiscal year, compared to #9 in 2018-2019.
