My research program focuses on patient behaviors and outcomes in chronic diseases. Our research studies are theoretically driven and employ both qualitative and quantitative methods to examine cultural and social determinants of health that impact quality and access to care and outcomes of patients with chronic illnesses, particularly ethnic minority patients who experience a disproportionate burden of poor health.
