It was a rainy and active weekend on Saturday, April 20, 2024, when College of Pharmacy scholars were honored in the heart of campus at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center just after the University's Admitted Student Day and Orange-White Game during the 76th Annual Honors Day.

Introduced in 1948 and celebrated every year since, Honors Day recognizes the accomplishments of the highest achieving students at The University of Texas at Austin — those who, by meeting competitive criteria, have earned their distinction as College Scholars or Distinguished College Scholars. The College of Pharmacy also recognizes scholars with Pharmacy honors who have exceeded our own stringent academic criteria.

Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Renee' Acosta introduced the event and recognized the high academic achievement of the attendees.

The deepest purpose of the university is to unlock the potential of our students. Honors Day is an opportunity to celebrate those students who not only reached their potential but surpassed it — elevating themselves to the very highest levels of academic accomplishment.

Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Renee' Acosta, R.Ph., M.S. introduced the event and gave the honorees their certificates, along with Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice Holli Temple, Pharm.D., BCPS. Assistant Dean for Curriculum and Assessment Ashley Castleberry, Pharm.D., M.Ed. named off the honorees and remarked on their accomplishments and plans for the future.
