Dr. Vahid Zia is Executive Director of Formulation and Process Development of small molecules and peptides at Gilead Sciences. Our team is accountable for lead optimization of pre-clinical drug candidates and nomination for clinical development; preformulation, formulation development, process scale-up, technology transfer, process validation of clinical drug candidates, and commercial support, irrespective of administration route. Vahid received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island followed by Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Kansas. He’s been involved in the development and commercialization of multiple products for treatment or cure of pain, inflammation, and viral infections.
