The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy's Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), 190 South LaSalle Street Suite 2850, Chicago, Illinois 60603, 312-664-3575, FAX (866) 228-2631.

The College of Pharmacy participated in its most recent ACPE accreditation self-study process in 2016, ending with an accreditation site visit in March 2017. As a result, the college received full accreditation status through June 2025.

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges

The University of Texas at Austin is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). SACSCOC accreditation allows for the university to award baccalaureate, professional, masters, and doctorate degrees.

The university was last reaccredited by SACSCOC in 2018.

  • UTCOP student received the Kappa Epsilon Zada M. Cooper Scholarship.

2020

  • UTCOP received the 2020 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT News, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.
  • UTCOP awarded the Lawrence C. Weaver Transformative Community Engagement Award from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
  • UTCOP student received a travel award from the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) to present her poster “Description of a novel advanced pharmacy practice experience in addiction medicine” at the CPNP Annual Meeting.
  • UTCOP student received the Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award from the US Public Health Service.
  • UTCOP student had her honors project “A review of real-world evidence use in United States regulatory submissions” selected as a Student Research Spotlight by the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).
  • UTCOP student received the Best Student Pharmacist Poster Award at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Annual Meeting (AMCP).
  • A UT student pharmacist team was one of the top three finalists in the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition.

2019

  • UTCOP student pharmacist elected American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) Regional Delegate.
  • UTCOP student pharmacist elected APhA-ASP Regional Member-at-Large.
  • Two UTCOP student pharmacists were among twelve student pharmacists chosen nationally to receive the ASHP Student Leadership Award.
  • UTCOP student pharmacist elected Delegate-at-Large for the APhA-ASP Board of Directors.
  • UTCOP student pharmacist awarded a travel scholarship from the Pharmaceutical Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) to attend their legislative conference in Washington, DC.

  • UT student pharmacists, UT Health SA medical students, and UTCOP faculty advisors were awarded a Kleberg Scholar grant to conduct Stop the Bleed training and knowledge assessments at several sites in south Texas.
