Project Director, Pharmacy Addictions Research & Medicine Program
Jennifer Bosworth, PharmD, earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She began her career in community pharmacy, serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a pharmacy chain in Austin and practicing for more than 15 years before transitioning into academia.
Dr. Bosworth joined the Continuing Pharmacy Education Office at UT Austin, where she led the development, coordination, and implementation of live and online continuing education programs for pharmacists in alignment with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards. As Assistant Director, she focused on enhancing the impact of continuing education on clinical practice while overseeing a wide range of initiatives involving grant funders, external partners, and College of Pharmacy faculty.
After 18 years in continuing pharmacy education, she transitioned to her current role as Project Director for the Pharmacy Addictions Research & Medicine (PhARM) Program. In this role, she supports the development of training programs and research initiatives that expand access to evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders, while strengthening internal processes to support the program’s growing portfolio.
Dr. Bosworth leads efforts related to the Texas Opioid Training Initiative (TXOTI), a multi-professional continuing education program supported by the Texas Targeted Opioid Response—a public health initiative operated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
