Project & Communications Manager, Pharmacy Addictions Research & Medicine Program
Jenny Carrasco is the Program & Communications Manager for the PhARM Program, where her marketing strategies have gained national attention among healthcare professionals and community stakeholders for advancing access to opioid education and care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Arts in Technical Communication from Texas State University, grounding her work in clear, strategic, and audience-centered communication. She brings extensive experience in large-scale public health promotion, collaborating with partners such as Austin Public Health to advance the TEACH OUD (Texans Expanding Access to Compassionate Healthcare for Opioid Use Disorder) initiative, Central Health Austin, and leading education and outreach alongside the Texas Targeted Opioid Response (TTOR) for the Texas Opioid Training Initiative (TXOTI) to scale evidence-based solutions across underserved populations.
Prior to her current role, Jenny spent over 13 years with the State of Texas at Texas State University, where she led communications for the Office of the President and the IT Assistance Center, supporting executive messaging and large-scale campus communications. She has also led high-impact strategic brand partnerships across public and private sectors, including statewide initiatives with the Texas House of Representatives and Texas Senate and corporate collaborations with Microsoft and the Food Network, driving large-scale audience engagement and amplifying mission-driven initiatives.
