Associate Professor of Practice
Dr. Natalie Rosario comes to the College of Pharmacy from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, where she served on faculty since 2020 in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research with a clinical practice site at Vecino Health Center's Denver Harbor Family Clinic, a federally qualified health center.
Dr. Rosario earned her Pharm.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (Advanced Pharmacotherapy Gateway track), and her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Ethics and Health Policy from the Creighton University Graduate School. She also completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency program at Palm Beach Atlantic University's Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy and a PGY2 in Ambulatory Care at the University of Colorado's Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
Dr. Rosario has a passion for underserved patient care, advancing the pharmacy profession and facilitating pharmacy students with connecting concepts from the classroom into real-world clinical practice. Furthermore, she brings with her a great deal of experience in conducting clinical research/ SOTL, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and innovating in the classroom.
She has received recognition for her excellence in the classroom, including being named the 2025 recipient of the Innovation in Self-Care and Nonprescription Medicines Teaching Award from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy's (AACP) Self-Care Therapeutics/Nonprescription Medicine Special Interest Group (SIG).
She maintains professional involvement in AACP, APhA and the American Medical Writers Association. In her free time, she enjoys checking out the local food scene, hiking with her four dogs, reading, cooking and traveling.
In her new role, Dr. Rosario will teach, mentor and precept pharmacy students while serving as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist at Community Care Health Centers – Del Valle and David Powell locations.
