Adwait is currently a 3rd year student in Dr. Feng Zhang’s research group. Adwait completed his B. Tech in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India. He followed that up with an MS in Pharmaceutics from the University of Mississippi under Dr. Michael Repka where he worked on hot-melt extrusions. Prior to joining UT Austin, Adwait worked as an Associate Scientist in the formulation team for the development of bio-pesticidal products at Marrone Bio Innovations (now Pro Farm), Davis, CA for 1.5 years. Adwait’s research is focused on twin-screw melt granulation, particularly on minimizing drug degradation during processing. Apart from that, Adwait also has worked on developing a deeper mechanistic understanding of the twin-screw melt granulation process.
