Nate Lynd is an associate professor in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin with research interests in advanced data analysis of complex chemical systems and macromolecules. Nate was educated in public schools, with his undergraduate education at Michigan State University and graduate studies at the University of Minnesota. Following his education, Nate moved to the west coast for postdoctoral studies at the University of California-Santa Barbara and later worked as a staff scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory before joining the faculty at UT in 2015.
