Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice Ashley Castleberry, Pharm.D. is a recipient of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Emerging Teaching Scholar Award. The award is designed to recognize excellence of academic pharmacy faculty engaged in and/or supporting scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Dr. Castleberry recently came to The University of Texas College of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Since her recent arrival, she has devoted herself to educating future pharmacists, and was the recipient of this year’s Class of 2022 Teaching Excellence Award. A nominating P1 student said that Dr. Castleberry was “one of the most highly ranked pathophysiology professors and a beloved mentor to her FPD mentees. I don’t think a single member of my class doesn’t adore and admire her for how much she contributes to the college.” Dr. Castleberry is also an integral part of the college’s transition to the ExamSoft student assessment and examination software, serving as Customer Success Strategist and bringing a multitude of knowledge about the software from her prior position.
Dr. Castleberry will be presented with the award during the AACP Annual Meeting in Chicago on July 15.
