Explore UT 2016 – Coming 3.5.16

Explore UT, the biggest open house in Texas, kicks off March 5, 2016.  Held annually each spring, Explore UT showcases students and faculty in a robust day filled with opportunities to explore, experience, and enrich.  Activities begin at 11 am and conclude at 5 pm.  All activities are free and open to the public – even the parking is free!

College of Pharmacy offerings include:

3D Tour of Drugs – a 3D tour of medications including how they fight disease

Drugs in the Pop Culture – Learn how different types of drugs are used or abused in pop culture and learn how pharmacists help address the potential misuse of drugs.

Health Screening Collaborative – Pharmacy and nursing students collaborate to provide basic health screening services.   Check your weight, height, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol levels.

Hogwarts Jungle Potions Class – Even if you have not been admitted to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, you can learn how medicines are prepared and create your own pharmaceutical products.

Junior Bevo Safari Adventure – Elementary-aged children can explore the jungle of pharmacy through games and other jungle themed activities.

Mapping Your Way to a Pharmacy Education and Career – Meet with pharmacy counselors to discuss academic choices and career opportunities in pharmacy.

On the Trail of the PharmD: A Trek Towards Excellence – Learn about the application process, course and curriculum requirements for those interested in pursuing a Pharm.D. degree.  Discover numerous career opportunities for those with degrees in pharmacy and make sure your trek is on track.
