Help Us Help an Incoming Student

June 26, 2020

Greetings Longhorn Pharmacy Alumni and Friends,

As we lead up to the fall semester, the UT College of Pharmacy Pharm.D. Class of 2024 faces unprecedented challenges in its journey to become pharmacists. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the rigorous and challenging curriculum our college offers to prepare our student pharmacists for successful careers.

The college has made great efforts to provide tuition assistance, a modified learning process, and resources to maximize our students’ ability to succeed. But much more can be done.

In addition to tuition and living expenses, our new P1 student pharmacists face some unusual costs. Because of COVID-related safety concerns, we need our student pharmacists to purchase the supplies for their pharmacy practice skills labs, and they would normally share these supplies. These include, but are not limited to, stethoscopes, pen lights, and blood pressure cuffs. We would also like to be able to provide them with their UT Pharmacy lab coat.

You can make a big impact on these student pharmacists’ lives with a small investment. Please consider joining me in “adopting” one or more new P1 student pharmacists with a $200 gift that will pay for those supplies. It is one way that you can make an uncertain time more certain for new student pharmacists.

Become a sponsor today by clicking on the button above and including “Help Us Help” in the donation notes. Thank you to our entire College of Pharmacy community for providing critical support in these most challenging of times. Hook ‘em Horns!
