The 2025 CMCT Symposium will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the San Jacinto Residence Hall (309 E 21st St, Austin, TX 78712) in the Multipurpose Rooms (Rooms 207 A,B,C).  Our keynote speaker this year is Gary Miller, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research Strategy and Innovation and Professor, Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Abstracts Competition

  • November 14 is the poster abstract submission deadline for CMCT graduate students and postdocs.  Email your abstracts to Michelle Lee.
  • Use this abstract template.
  • Abstracts will be judged, and winners in each category (grad student or postdoc) will be notified before the symposium.
  • Cash prizes: 1st place = $200; 2nd place = $100; 3rd place = $50.
  • Those who submit an abstract should participate in the poster session on December 10 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

Guidelines for Poster Presentations

All poster presenters will receive a gift for participation.

  • Poster stands are 8 feet wide (96 inches) and 4 feet tall (48 inches). We recommend printing a standard size.
  • To present a poster at the symposium, you must submit your abstract by the November 14 deadline. Confirm with Michelle Lee that she received your abstract submission via email.
  • You must have your poster printed before the symposium. We will not be able to print your posters for you. We will provide you with tacks to mount your posters.
  • NOTE that the LRC no longer prints posters.
