Vadiei Discusses Unique Challenges in Psychiatric Population

In a conversation with Drug Topics, Nina Vadiei, Pharm.D., BCPP, clinical associate professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Sciences (PTSCI) at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and a clinical pharmacy specialist in psychiatry at the San Antonio State Hospital discussed some of the challenges she faces working with forensic patients who have been charged with a crime and have severe mental illness.

Professor of Molecular Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery and Glaxo Wellcome Professor Maria A. Croyle, Ph.D. was named a member of the National Academy of Inventors 2024 Class of Fellows, joining a prestigious list of researchers from 135 research universities, governmental and non-profit research institutions worldwide. She is the only faculty member from UT Austin to be inducted into this year’s Fellows Program.

Postdoctoral researcher in the Gore Lab Dr. Emily Hilz is a Phase 2 winner of a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services competition to reduce Black women’s risk of exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Hilz’s winning program created Endoscreen, a mobile phone application to increase awareness of and reduce exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals in personal care products.
