Dr. Amanda Stallings

Amanda Stallings, PharmD

Dr. Amanda Stallings is the Residency Program Director for the H-E-B Pharmacy/University of Texas College of Pharmacy Community-based Residency Program and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice. She is a former resident and advocate for community-based residency training. She strives to give back to the underserved in our community by volunteering at the Volunteer Healthcare Clinic. Additionally, she has pursued leadership roles in professional organizations by serving on the board of directors and as past president of the Capital Area Pharmacy Association. Her mission with this residency is to develop compassionate, confident clinical pharmacists who practice patient-centered care in the community pharmacy setting.

Kelsey Bailey

Kelsey Bailey, PharmD

Kelsey Bailey received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and graduated with the Leadership Track Degree option in 2015. She completed her postgraduate training with the H-E-B Pharmacy/University of Texas PGY1 Community Residency Program and has remained with H-E-B working at the RxEACH department in San Antonio. Kelsey serves as a preceptor for The University of Texas and supervises IPPE student interns.  She also works with the University of Incarnate Word APPE interns. Kelsey is active in pharmacy organizations at the state (TPA) and national levels (ADCES, APhA, ASHP). She is passionate about improving health outcomes through motivational interviewing and enjoys reaching out to patients and partners through the different platforms used at the RxEACH.

Lauren Clark

Lauren Clark, Pharm.D.

Lauren Clark received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007. Upon graduation, she worked as a long term care pharmacist for The Asista Corporation where she served as both a consultant pharmacist reviewing medication regimens as well as part of a collaborative practice team working together to intake patients and develop care plans.  Lauren has worked as a community pharmacist for HEB grocery since 2007 and a pharmacy manager since 2009.  She is a site coordinator for the HEB/University of Texas PGY-1 Residency Program and helps to teach the Patient Counseling Course at the University of Texas. Lauren has served as the President, President-Elect, and Program coordinator for the Capital Area Pharmacy association as well as most recently on the Board of Directors for The Texas Pharmacy Association. She is certified by APhA in Medication Therapy Management and Pharmacy Based Cardiovascular Disease Risk Management as well as NACDS Community Pharmacy Based Point of Care Testing. She is the recipient of the Texas Pharmacy Association’s 2015 Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award and the 2017 HEB Pharmacy Rising Star Award. In her free time, she loves running, keeping up with her 6-year-old son, and helping her husband at their brewery in Austin.

Candice Fischer

Candice Fischer, PharmD, BCACP

Candice Fischer, (formerly Chavez), received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2014. After graduation, she moved to Austin, Texas, to complete her PGY1 residency with the University of Texas at Austin/H-E-B Pharmacy. Upon completion of her residency, she continued to work for H-E-B pharmacy in various roles including floater pharmacist and primarily as a staff pharmacist at one of the busiest pharmacies in the company, the Hancock Center (CORP#425/Austin 3). During her first few years of working, she was interviewed and selected to serve as the Austin region’s Medication Therapy Management (MTM) coordinator. In this role, she assists the company with all MTM initiatives as well as training incoming H-E-B Partners. Outside of her fulltime job duties, Candice also serves as the pharmacy manager at the Volunteer Healthcare Clinic (VHC). She is able to oversee operations, serve on the executive board, teach and manage pharmacy staff and volunteers, and come up with innovative ideas to improve the non-profit pharmacy. She has been heavily involved as a board member with the local pharmacy association, Capital Area Pharmacy Association (CAPA), for several years. In 2019, Candice studied and earned her board certification in ambulatory care (BCACP).

She currently works as a staff pharmacist at one of H-E-B’s newest stand-alone concept pharmacies inside the Health Transformation Building (HTB) at the University of Texas’s health sciences campus. This exciting, new role allows her to work on many innovative projects in collaboration with the university. She now serves as an official preceptor of the University of Texas at Austin/H-E-B Pharmacy PGY1 residency program where she assists residents with their MTM, VHC, and ambulatory care experiences. In addition to these activities, she holds an affiliated faculty position with the University of Texas College of Pharmacy where she helps teach the counseling course for second year pharmacy students.

Outside of pharmacy related activities, Candice enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and hanging out with her husband, Jamison, and their two dogs, Belle and Riley.

Julie Gould

Julie Gould, PharmD

Julie Gould received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2017 from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. After graduating, she packed her belongings into her car and drove all the way to Austin, TX for her post-graduate training with the H-E-B Pharmacy/University of Texas at Austin PGY-1 Community Residency Program.  Once her residency training was completed, she continued on with H-E-B Pharmacy in San Antonio. In San Antonio, she spent time as a floater pharmacist and became part of the San Antonio Immunization team. Currently, she is one of the Immunization Program Coordinators in San Antonio and is a part-time Pharmacist with H-E-B San Antonio #9 at SW Military and Pleasanton. She has a passion for teaching the next generation of Community Pharmacists and educating the community on immunizations. When not working, she can be found spending time with family or her feline babies. She also spends time trying to find hobbies aside from shopping, some of which currently include crafting and reading.

Lauren Hayden, Pharm.D.

Lauren received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2011. Lauren started her career with Walgreens in the San Antonio area. During her time there, she managed various locations and projects, including the Summer Internship Program, Graduate Internship Program, pioneered the MTM program for the area, Introductory/Advanced Practice site coordinating, and immunization training. After 11 years with Walgreens, she made a career change to accept a position with HEB and now manages a growing business with HEB.

Outside of work, Lauren has remained active as a UIW alumnus, serving on various committees for the University. She also serves the profession through her six years on the Board of the Bexar County Pharmacy Association, including three years as President, and as a Director on the Board of the Texas Pharmacy Association. Lauren is passionate about advocacy and inspiring confident future pharmacy leaders.

Gretta Leckbee, RPh

Gretta Leckbee has practiced as a Registered Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager for HEB, a regional grocery store chain in Austin, Texas, for 17 years. She has also served as the Regional Immunization Coordinator for HEB in the Central Region of Texas for the last 10 years.  Gretta received her B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Houston, College of Pharmacy in Houston, Texas.  She has served as a pharmacy student preceptor for The University of Texas, TA&M, and Incarnate Word since 2000 supervising both IPPE and APPE students, and also as a site coordinator for the HEB/University of Texas PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program for the last 5 years.  Gretta has been recognized by her peers by receiving the HEB “Rising Star” award in 2007, as well as the “Horizon” award in 2014, which recognize pharmacists with a commitment to clinical/professional services, and the Outstanding Preceptor award from HEB/University of Texas in 2010.

She serves as instructor for the APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate program since 2004 and is responsible for training & guiding new pharmacists at HEB in the role of Immunizing Pharmacist.  Gretta is Medication Therapy Management Certified, completing cases utilizing the Mirixa and Outcomes platforms and uses this skill when precepting pharmacy students and community pharmacy residents.

Gretta has served on the Board of Directors for the Capitol Area Pharmacists Association since 2009 and has also served as a Delegate to the House of Delegates for both the Texas Pharmacy Association (TPA), as well as American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

Mark Rana, R.Ph.

Mark Rana is a second-generation pharmacist who graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Pharmacy in 1994. He started his practice as a manager for Wal-Mart in Kingman, AZ. He then transitioned to Walgreens where he would spend the next 20 years of his career. At Walgreens, he managed pharmacies in Arizona, Arkansas and Texas. He was promoted to Pharmacy Supervisor while working for Walgreens in Oklahoma where he had oversight for 33 stores located in Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. During his time as a Supervisor, he helped move Walgreens in to several small markets and represented Walgreens at various pharmacy schools as well as the Oklahoma State legislature. Mark was chosen to open Walgreens' first store in Hawaii because of his experience. He also piloted several corporate initiatives with Walgreens such as compounding and the Gallop Initiative. He left Walgreens to take a position as VP of Retail Pharmacy Operations at a local independent compounding pharmacy where he immersed himself in the world of pharmacy compounding both sterile, non-sterile and hazardous.  He then went to work for H-E-B in 2018. While at H-E-B he has had the opportunity to pilot several initiatives, such as Pharmacy Pre-pay/Curbside, Ship to Home and testing of the Kirby KLSR. He has been a preceptor for over 20 years and has mentored students at every level and stage of their practice. He loves to share his knowledge and experiences in hopes that his students can benefit from his past challenges and successes.

Outside of pharmacy, he loves to spend time with his wife, who is also a pharmacist, and his son, who is currently active-duty Army. Mark and his family are often seen attending various music festivals and occasionally looking for golf balls near the fairways of local golf courses.

Sun Seo

Sun Seo, PharmD

Sun Seo graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015. She then completed her PGY-1 Residency in Community Pharmacy with UT/H-E-B in 2016 and continued her employment with H-E-B and was offered a staff pharmacist position at the East 7th location in Austin, TX. After four years of working as staff, she accepted an offer to step up to be the manager of that pharmacy. She’s been a preceptor for both P3 and P4 students from UT Austin ever since she became a preceptor in 2016. Sun’s passion has always been to serve the low income community along with the Hispanic population. She considers building connections and driving better health outcomes with those patients the most rewarding aspect about community pharmacy. During her free time, she loves being active outdoors and exploring new restaurants in town.

Stefanie Van Boskerck, Pharm.D.

Stefanie Van Boskerck received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2017 from University of Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy in San Antonio, TX. After graduating, she completed her post-graduate training with the H-E-B Pharmacy/University of Texas at Austin PGY-1 Community Residency Program. She stayed with H-E-B Pharmacy in Austin, TX after completing residency training. She has been a proud partner with H-E-B since 2012 and believes strongly in H-E-B’s vision that every person matters. Currently, she is the pharmacy manager for H-E-B #29 in the West Lake Hills community of Austin. She enjoys mentoring students and has served as a preceptor for students for several years. Outside of pharmacy, her passion is spending time with her adorable fur-baby, Kygo, and husband. She also enjoys trying new restaurants around town and all things Disney.
