Interested in public health? The UT Austin College of Pharmacy is excited to announce a new partnership with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health allowing students to pursue a Pharm.D./Master of Public Health (MPH) dual degree. This Pharm.D./MPH partnership is the first of its kind in the State of Texas and available to all current first-year Pharm.D. students.
The MPH degree is widely recognized as a valuable supplemental training for professionals pursuing careers in health-related fields. In addition, skills learned in public health core disciplines are essential for persons conducting clinical or community-based research or those involved with health services organizations.

Pharm.D./MPH Coursework Requirements
- 18 credit hours in core public health coursework (6 courses)
- 9 credit hours in advanced public health coursework
- 12 credit hours in public health electives (met using Pharm.D. coursework)
- MPH practicum
- Integrative learning experience (Capstone)
