This Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update is designed to provide pharmacists, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, psychologists and social workers with timely and clinically useful information about applying neuroscience principles and evidence-based approaches to the management of selected psychiatric and neurologic disorders.
Mark your calendars! The 2025 Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update is October 23-24, in Austin, Texas. Participants are encouraged to join us in person, but those unable to make it to Austin can attend via Zoom webinar.
After the event, program recordings will be available on-demand, along with supplemental resources and downloadable presentation slides, for CE students to access and complete to meet their practice needs.
New for 2025: Optional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities for pharmacists. The Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update provides Board-Certified Pharmacists the option to develop a CPD plan and receive additional CPD credit towards their Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) recertification. Target Audience
Pharmacists, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, physician assistants, psychologists and social workers who specialize in or have an interest in neuropsychiatric disorders and wish to enhance their awareness and knowledge of the most recent advances impacting contemporary practice.
This interdisciplinary shared learning environment facilitates an appreciation among the attendees for the contributions that various health professions must make for a mental health treatment plan to succeed. Whether attending as an individual or with a team of colleagues from your practice site, all invited disciplines can expect to take away evidence-based information that will help improve outcomes for patients with psychiatric disorders.

Registration is coming soon for the 2025 Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy Update. The registration process is the same regardless of attendance type.

2025 Registration Fee
Early rate (Before June 13): $575
Regular rate (through Oct. 1): $595
Late rate (after Oct. 1): $645
Registration includes CE credit, access to all content either in person or via online broadcast with additional on-demand content, downloadable handouts and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits for pharmacists (awarded upon component completion). In-person registrants will receive breakfast, lunch and snacks each day, with optional bonus lunchtime CPD topic discussions and a Thursday reception. Recordings of the program are made available online for on-demand viewing after the event.
Individual Discounts
The University of Texas Discount: Employees of any University of Texas System institution, including UT Austin, can receive a $65 discount off the current posted registration fee. UT System employees should enter the coupon code UT25PSYCH in the coupon box during registration.
Veterans Affairs Discounts: United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) employees are eligible for a $65 discount off the current posted registration fees. VA employees should enter the coupon code VA25PSYCH in the coupon box during registration.
Pharmacy and Medical Students and Residents/Social Work Students/Interns: Residents and enrolled students in Pharmacy, Medical, and Social Work programs can register at a special rate of $165. Conference Policies
- Accreditation
Live CE Credit: If you need to claim live CE credit, complete the online evaluations within 60 days of attending in person or viewing the virtual live broadcast. After the live sessions are available on-demand, completing them will award only home study credit.
- Video/Audio/Photography/Exhibitor Release
Registrants authorize UT Austin College of Pharmacy Center for Continuing Professional Development to record, photograph and include them in the session recordings, photos of the event, and related materials in name, likeness and/or voice.
- Attendee Information
Attendee lists will be shared upon request. Only attendee names and places of employment – if entered in the registration information – will be included. Please note that as a state-operated program, FERPA is in place, and participation in this program means your Category I information may be shared upon request. This may include confirmation of attendance, as well as name, address and contact information.
- COVID-19 Protocols Agreement
If you are experiencing symptoms, have COVID-19, or think you may have been exposed, you agree to stay home. We will transfer your registration to the live webcast, or you can watch the recorded sessions on your own time (available to all attendees by mid-December).
